The Delmar City Council met in regular session on March 7, 2007 at the Delmar Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order with the following members present at roll call: Jebsen, Trenkamp, Goodall, Eberhart, Simmons. M/S Jebsen, Trenkamp to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call vote: All ayes.

Sheriffs report was given by Clinton County Deputies with 66.27 hours being spent in Delmar during the month of February. Landfill report by Goodall with notice received of Laura who managed the landfill turning in her resignation. Interviews have been held and an applicant being picked by the committee. Approval now goes in front of the Landfill board. Crime Stoppers report by Goodall with the approval of magnetic Crime Stoppers signs going on county trucks.

There is no updates at this time on the water project. Mayor Johnson reported to the city council that the Pre-Closing for the USDA Interim Loan was done today with a few papers that will need to be signed when corrections are made. Ending percentage rate for USDA loan is 4.125% per Mayor Johnson in her report to the council. Final payments for outstanding bills will be paid out of reserve funds and payment will be noted to the Mayor prior to any transfers of funds for payment of final bills. M/S Goodall, Eberhart to approve the 2007/2008 Sheriffs contract. Roll call vote: All ayes. Discussion on a residential utility bill was brought to the council by the clerk.. Repairs to the line has been done and usage and credit was calculated. M/S Goodall, Trenkamp to approve the credit on the water for the resident. Roll call vote: All ayes.

Johnson asked for a motion to call the public meeting to a close. M/S Goodall, Trenkamp to close public meeting and go into closed session at 7:45 p.m.. Roll call vote: All ayes. M/S Eberhart, Simmons to end closed session at 8:15 p.m. Roll call vote: All ayes. M/S Eberhart, Simmons to approve pay raises as such: Ruchotzke from $12.55 to $13.00 effective March 15th payroll, McCallister from $12.00 to $12.36 effective April 1st payroll, Pickup from hourly to $100.00 per month for reading water meters effective April 1st payroll. Roll call vote: Ayes-Simmons, Trenkamp, Jebsen, Eberhart. Nays-None, Goodall absent from vote. Seasonal part-time pay will remain the same.

Mayor Johnsson asked clerk to notify Iowa One Call to take Mike Scheckel off emergency call list. Clerk stated that they were notified once already but will call again. Clerk was instructed to check the minutes for an employees pay schedule and report back at the next meeting. M/S Jebsen, Trenkamp to adjourn at 8:45 p.m. Roll call vote: All ayes.
