CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Oct. 16, 2006
The Delmar City Council met in special session on October 16, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Delmar Council Chambers located at 613 ½ Main Street. Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order with the following members present at roll call: Jebsen, Trenkamp, Goodall, Eberhart, Simmons. M/S Goodall, Jebsen to approve the consent agenda with the following additions of a building permit for Paul Miller for a home addition and MSA Professional Services with a final pay request for Caldwell. Roll call vote: All ayes.
Clerk McCallister provided the information on the needed amendment to the Interim USDA Loan to the council members. The National Bank is willing to extend the loan at 3.75% for 6 months. This will give the city time to see if the interest rate with USDA changes to a lower rate which has been projected but waiting for Congress approval. The loan close date will now be April 16, 2006 instead of October 15, 2006. M/S Goodall, Trenkamp to approve the loan extension for the USDA Interim Loan at a rate of 3.75%. Roll call vote: All ayes. McCallister noted that should USDA find that the rate is going to increase instead of decreasing she will be notified and the loan will close at the original rate of 4.25%. McCallister stated that she will keep the council informed as information is available.
Mat Saur from MSA Professional Services attended the meeting with the final draw for Caldwell Tanks in the amount of $16050.00. M/S Jebsen, Trenkamp to approve the final payment of $16050.00 to Caldwell Tanks. Roll call vote: All ayes. Mayor Johnson asked that MSA get a more detailed maintenance schedule for the water tower so we know for future maintenance.
M/S Goodall, Jebsen to approve the payment of $17,584.03 for the initial payment of the water/sewer lines on Richland Avenue. Roll call vote: All ayes. M/S Jebsen, Trenkamp to approve payment of the first lot as soon as the owners are residing in the home in the amount of $5000.00. Roll call vote: All ayes. M/S Goodall, Eberhart to approve the building permit for Paul Miller for a home addition. Roll call vote: All ayes. Clerk McCallister discussed repairs to the lagoons that were detected by DNR inspection last week. These repairs were discussed with maintenance and were advised to get the repairs made ASAP. JJJ Construction reviewed the repairs needed at the lagoon site. The repairs will cost approximately $3165.00 to make the repairs as required by replacing two 8” valves. M/S Goodall, Simmons to have the repairs done as soon as possible. Roll call vote: All ayes.
